 Heh...yeah, I am very touchy feely, but not about this stuff. How you think we got hammered so hard? Wanting to understand and looking through the eyes and the pasts of our partners and wanting to be the one that could make the difference? Error!!! Yep, a few idiots have come up with that one. I can come up with a whole host of unpleasant responses to that. She / he did XYZ and blah blah blah...but I LOVE him/er. Spare me. They haven't been hunted and chased down by a raging psycho. Irrelevant to me at this point. I am not bad with the sledge hammer.  It's almost an art form , the swinging of it. CG, That is really sad. And at BPDfam. they are doing the same thing with not allowing outside articles to allow for creating a frame of reference. Very strange and dangerous behavior. What is that about? |

Controlling of information maybe? I don't know. Filtering what people have access to.
It's about control. As with some nations that control Google search results, it's about control of the information.
When you can't control what info comes in, you lose control and the ability to allow what can be thought and referenced.

Much so. That in itself with respect to a "help" forum is frightening. When posting clinical studies as a reference is being knocked out of the post? That is really mentally ill behavior . Peer reviewed studies, far outweigh the opinions of any Mod or poster.

I was on "the site" today and came across a post by someone apologizing for the way they feel and how they express themselves because apparently some members were offended. I just shook my head cause it's gotten way out of control over there with the hypersensitivity. I damn sure don't need anyone policing my thoughts, feelings and actions. I get enough of that at home!

That is sick And agree with Truman on the Stockholm Syndrome , it also ties into cognitive dissonance and the article Unicorn posted earlier. It's a question of degree and the situation.
Bad....really , really bad.
Are they still kicking out links to outside sources? Noticed PDfamily was doing the same thing. Seems can link only to internal sources, Skip comes in and says, "this article has been moved" but then...it has completely disappeared.

I haven't come across any links in new posts so I can't be certain if they are deleting them or not but I do know that no matter how tempted I am to post a response on any threads I refrain. I'm not going to be a part of that sickness besides I have a tendency to offend ppl just by breathing LOL.

 Call me warped, but I have almost the perverse desire to know how "bad" I really am. Maybe I am normal? Maybe you are too? Maybe that's the problem? God...that would be dull though wouldn't it? ehehe...which reminds me, Monday will be meeting with another researcher and will politely ask her who she knows in psych that might be up to do an eval. I think I may be crazy.  |

 Yep...little bit paranoid. Also kind of wondering how many of the conversations over there are actually different posters or the Mods running sock puppets to make the board look busy. Same style writing, pattern and turns of phrase. |
