I have no respect for any of the Mods. Not only are they everything we have all said, but they are devious and vicious people. I find it appalling they give the harmful advice they give to people who need advice. It's actually dangerous and it's done with the thinking that they are qualified for that. I shutter when I think about that. They do think that they are on the level with therapists and doctors. They have created a dangerous environment.
Just think of people who are going through a really tough time with PD's that stumble on that site..... From one abusive environment to another one, wrapped up in a clever ruse.
Lets say that person had a hard day from abuse, comes to vent and has cristina reporting the post because it says "I'm so friggin angry that my wife who I call mousepouse did XYZ, I'm hurting cause she's F_cking crazy"...... then Goblow chimes in with Rule 9876_b21, then 2Stupid sends a PM saying she may be banned.... before the 3rd post that person has 8 warnings, with a 10 day ban.
Mark my words in 4-5 months they start coming here under different names because "there is no one to play with"
Lets call it "that site", so not to give them any recognition and more Google/SE rankings.

Pretty brutal there. Cringe when I read there now. Focus is here and getting information together. Basis, is healing from the wounds and getting away from the PD crap storm. I do know the rules of dealing with BPD and the whole 9 yards. I will not promote their use. They only act to further trap the non or co dep in a vicious cycle of cognitive dissonance and trauma bonding. In good conscience I will not ever promote it on that basis. Been through that wringer and do not recommend it.
Agree/ disagree offer an alternative? No problem.

I've a hunch both Goblow and Cringina are angling to be accepted into the fold of members the board gives their "seal of approval" to run for moderator next August. Because as you know, only unanimous board approved nominees can stand for election.

I also have a sneeking suspicion that's why Charles6722 hasn't posted...because he's engaging in passive resistance, or conscientious objection.
Nowadays in those rare instances whenever somebody posts something insightful - something that really does burn off the F.O.G. and gets others to look at things more objectively - it's like someone has dropped a bomb. The thread goes dead.
Apart from removing members' right to free election, the board of the Obviously Offensive Traitorous Fiends aim to get rid of common sense - and anyone with sufficient smarts to recognize what they're about.

OOTF is not what I had heard it was supposed to be and wasn't what I found it out to be. It was but then it gradually started to change for some reason a few months ago. Saw some snarky warnings and got a few myself. It's why I came to forums to get away from.
If I wanted cold ( not from the members) but the staff I would have stayed in Minnesota. Not willing to say who I am right now. Thanks

The last couple of months it went straight into the sewer. After Gary took a break/ brake. When he hit the brakes, the goons piled into the car and ....the rest is sad history. I cannot believe the horse crap people get warnings for. That I get them? Sure...I can see that. I know I am colorful. But some people there are so gentle they barely say anything with a hint of irritation and the Mod Squad puts a muzzle on them? Not acceptable.
I saw Beenthere's post. It was perfectly fair. Legitimate. The Mods there ban without using their neurons. Cook up "rules" and interpretations there of without any background for the poster. And as Truman stated: Did someone say totalitarian regime?

Ya know? IDK's siggie is kinda scary for a support forum/group of people who are in abusive r/s. "If you can't change your circumstances change your perspective" Is that meant metaphorically or literally? If it's literally then okay I can go with that but if it means metaphorically then wouldn't that amount to accepting abuse? Maybe I think to much but the immediate reaction I had to reading it was, that doesn't sound right. Maybe I think too much or maybe I'm just shell shocked by my PD so everything causes me alarm these days lol

Pretty much. The whole thing behind it IS what it IS...is ONE thing, however in an abusive situation.
It is Abuse and abuse is what it is. => LEAVE. [ that's not easy due to many factors, but if you focus on the bonds and start breaking them, it becomes much much easier]
Skip and I at Bpdfam ran into a wall with each other a long time ago. And still the preaching over there is the same, and the vast majority of the posters that were in those r/s have ended them or the BPD has cheated on them or lord knows what. Bottom line? It doesn't work unless the BPD is in therapy and Wants to change. I had to learn that the hard way. UFN had stated that clearly.
Co- dep tendencies run really thick on that board. And "the site" is worse at present.

I was first at BPDfamily before OOTF and I left because some guy commented on one of my posts basically accusing me of attention seeking and playing the victim. I haven't been back to that forum at all because of that. I admit that sometimes I just need to be heard and I need someone to respond to that call just like EVERYONE does. And I will concede that I have been told by a great many ppl to leave the marriage because it is abusive and I have refused to do so. Not only because I WAS so deeply in love and so horribly co-dependent but because I genuinely believed that I was all he had and that I could help him. Way too much FOG going on there I know and I am so grateful that it's clearing now but when I was still in the thick of it a few months back I definitely did NOT deserve to be told that I was basically making shit up. As for OOTF I left, as you know, because of the censorship that is going on not because anyone said something so callous. If anything, besides you, everyone was too touchy feely on that forum. Sometimes I need to be hit over the head with a sledge hammer lol.  |

Apparently some posts by new members are getting 0 responses.
I'm going to guess that they're too busy moderating posts looking for people to ban, and to see who used momster or end of rope.
