The red pill and its opposite, the blue pill, are pop culture symbols representing the choice between embracing the sometimes painful truth of reality (red) and the blissful ignorance of illusion (blue) .
Brutal painful reality and all that it entails. Acceptance of the self and all your own dirt and that which was done to you even that which one would like to deny to the Self. Now, if a Blue Pill pusher comes along with some fantasy/ illusion lines of BS, the radar will scream. My radar is extremely accurate these days.
After having been pulled in the BPD alphabet soup PD Matrix? I will not be going back. Emotional Blackmail is the weapon of choice. The idealization phase, the devaluation and the discard.
The purveyors of the blue pill will be blown into orbit without Sympathy, or Empathy, but a truck load of Truth.

would the blue pill be a rectangle shape, or is it blue 30's or 15's?.
Makes me think of an article I started reading about how people who really let morality be their vice. It was in Psychology Today, but I have to finish it. Sure PD's take the blue ones, and believe their own medicine. They don't take the Red ones. In fact, they are only happy when we take the Blue ones with them.
Ever been sober around a drunk? Not too much fun, in fact it gets old. Picking up a buddy at 2am on a friday night stone cold sober is what it's almost like with a PD & Blue pill.
Without reality and hard truths, we have no future. Because we will always be in fantasy land. Only can we move forward when we are able to see what is ahead and where our choices have led us. A PD can't see forward and don't know how they got to where they are standing...... because it's someone else's fault they got where they are.

Precisely. I cannot do the Blue pill. Fought too hard to get out of that craziness. Red Pill might be harsh, but I'll take the pain of reality over the blue pill illusion any day. The pain of red is an opportunity to grow.
Yes, and I can't stand it. I don't mind to go out for a drink. But not the drunken binge. Around here, it's quiet pubs not meat markets. Nice.
Stbx's drinking was out of control quite often, can't be around drunks. Druggies, same thing. Want nothing to do with it.
Yep.

Drunks are okay if you are drunk yourself, but not those beer muscle types who are looking for a fight or to show how tough they think they are. I can't do clubs.
I really like staying home. PD's or I should say my wife, can't grasp staying home or doing anything that doesn't involve "shiny lights" "and bright colors"

True, to a degree, but these days? The limit is lower than one beer and drive. The laws have hampered the drinking excess of the past. Doesn't affect me either way. Prefer a small cozy pub that is not plugged with people. Rarity as well though. Better yet, is the outdoor places. Shoot some pool, sports on TV, the usual deal.
