So out of crazy 1 and 2, and now have crazy with 3 until 10/16 or the 17th.
1 was the marriage home, 2 was the crazy landlord and now 3 is the border who landlord at 2 took in for 12 days.
Long story short, my landlord took in this border. One day my daughter and I returned home to a sign on the basement door saying Private.
The finished basement where my daughter and I used as a TV room, work area and retreat area. No notice, just a sign one day.
She made up a lie that it was a close friend who was staying until her trip on Oct 1, turns out it was a stranger who she found to rent so landlord could meet her bills.
It was a blessing because that border found me this new place. This place is a friend of hers, and I would have never found it had she not moved in.
We'll call her Bob for a few reasons.
HOWEVER, here is the deal.
As soon as I checked out the place and said I'd take it, she begged me to let her stay in the home for a few days, since it is her friend and she has no place to go. She actually was supposed to take the place, but she said the landlord wanted to be Best Friends and buddy buddy with her and she didn't want that. So she made me lie and tell the new landlord we're friends through work, not that she moved into where I was living.....she didn't have the balls to tell her that she didn't want to be friends.
So question 1, why did she want to go back?
I agreed because she claimed she had nowhere to go and she found me the place, and was only supposed to be a few days.
The lease I signed is for a whole floor and two bedrooms. She is in one of them. I think she is living here for free.
I'm guessing she told my new landlord we're such good friends and I won't mind.
So she's creating a story of lies to mooch of my good nature. I paid full rent, so I guess she is on my dime and the new landlord thinks I'm doing it because we are friends.
When I text her that I hate lying, and want to be honest, she called me 4x and left frantic messages begging me to keep our secret.
I'm stuck because this new landlord took me in on the premise that this woman and I are such good friends, and she needed to references or info.
So if I say something now, it'll look worse and I hate this position.
I'm guessing the new landlord thinks I'm letting her stay on my dime because we're friends. So the lie is in place so she can freeload. I have never seen mooching and freeloading so bad.
This woman stole towels from my old landlord and left the place a bad mess. The 4 days she's been at my new place prior to me, she cleaned nothing where she uses and the bathroom was disgusting. This woman has not lifted a finger since, her dishes sitting for days on the counter, awaiting someone else to do them.
My new landlord is great and normal which is great. I hate lying, and now since it hasn't come up I'm leaving it alone. I've been thinking about if/when to bring it up.
The freeloading is 100 on a scale from 1-10. Her stories don't make sense. Something is really wrong with her. She never cleans up after herself and stays in her room 17 out of 18 hours. Her professional bio is really accomplished and you'd never believe it. Maybe she had a breakdown or something. As I said the bathroom she was using was filthy yet she feels no need to clean. She is leaving in a few days on a planned business trip, yet, from Sept 17th till now she has no living arrangements in place. She claims to have an apartment in the City, yet doesn't live there. At 50 years old to have no plans to live between 2 months is really strange, doesn't add up.
For example:
• At my old place she wanted me to ask my former roommmates who she didn't know, if they'd take her in for a few weeks.
• Before she had to leave my old place she didn't have lodging plans.
• The car she is using belongs to my other old roommate.
• She's in her room 99% of the day. Sleeps till 11 and can't look you in the face when talking.
• Her stories don't add up and are often changing and seems like lies.
• She leaves dishes out and leaves messes, and steals towels.
The other day we had hurricane like weather and a leak and the carpet was soaked. She left a puddle water on the carpet and didn't cover it with a towel or do anything, just let it sit
In order to avoid mold or mildew I used her towel to soak up the water. Any normal person would do this, especially in someone else's home.
Because I used her towel, she freaked out. This is part of her email:
"I'm really perplexed as to why you have been the way you have to me at different times--you've barked at me, left no pathway for me to pass to my room, woken me up by banging on my door to borrow something you needed, and now put a towel that I use for my hands and face down on a leaking spot on the floor, something that I don't even have a reference for having experienced before."
I cannot believe the level of freeloading and mooching.
Because of her lies, and the fact that my landlord thinks me and her are good friends, she's living for free or at least I paid full rent for only one room. It's not my landlord's fault, it's mine.
I'm guessing she has paranoid personality disorder and a little schizophrenia.
I'm saying nothing because I want her to leave and not blow up like I've seen her do.
