I have been waiting on my H medications for over a week now and they STILL have not been delivered. I called the pharmacy only to be told that they will now be delivered on Monday Sept. 30th. I was not nice to the girl I spoke to after she told me that and then I penned a letter to the pharmacy supervisor only to get a Mailer Daemon Failure notice because her fucking inbox is full. I WONDER WHY!!! NOBODY FUCKING GETS WHAT WE GO THROUGH OR THE ONES WITH MENTAL ILLNESS. Following is the letter I wrote and attempted to email.
Ms. XXXX,
On Wednesday, September 25, 2013, I received a call from one of your employees informing me that my husbands’ medications were available. My husbands name is XXXXXX, DOB: XXXXXX and when I requested the refills online I also requested that they be delivered and informed the young lady of my request. She said that it had not been noted but that she would make note of it and have his meds delivered on Thursday September 26, 2013.
My husbands meds were not delivered so on Friday September 27, 2013 I called your pharmacy at 2:30 pm and spoke to one of your employees asking her why my husbands’ medications had not been delivered. She informed me that delivery is made only twice a day and that my husbands’ medications would be delivered on Monday, September 30, 2013. I explained to her that I was told they would be delivered on Thursday September 26th to which she gave me the excuse that because the delivery service is limited and that one of your drivers was out sick one day this week that my husband would now have to wait until Monday to receive his medications.
Ms. XXXX, that is inexcusable, unprofessional and unacceptable. My husband has waited over a week now for his medications to be filled and delivered. He takes medications for BiPolar Disorder and Borderline Personality Disorder not to mention high blood pressure and when he misses his medication he becomes agitated and volatile. I am certain that no one in your pharmacy cares what my husband AND I go through when he misses his medication so, this time when he starts raging and threatening to kill someone or himself, I am sending him to visit your pharmacy. Maybe, if your employees get a taste of the dark side of mental illness, they will be more proactive in doing their jobs competently and efficiently instead of causing unnecessary and undue distress for patients and their loved ones!
Sincerely,
Mrs. E. Rigby
