What You Are Saying By Not Saying Anything
The silent treatment can be a very destructive behavior when it involves personal relationships. Let’s say with a husband and wife for instance. The silent treatment breeds bitterness on both ends and it borders on emotional abuse… I’m not making that up to be dramatic. That’s what “they” say. I’d hate anyone to confuse what I’m saying with my own divorce.
I'd be remiss to suggest I found ST around here to be horrible. Was better than the raging. That being said, when it does erupt in dead silence, it makes me think of a chimpanzee playing with ants.
ST is just passive aggressive BS which leaves me laughing. It's sad that they don't realize how disgusting and childish it is.
It's as though, lacking the capacity to communicate in a normal rationale human manner, you have an adult that goes all pouty " I'm not talking!!! HAH!" And I am thinking, " What a monkey." Reframing ST removes the 'sting' and spot lights the idiocy of the supposed treatment. How to be abused by an idiot?
