...maybe there will not be a storm? It's surreal calm, decent and nice. Just, 2 ships passing and flashing lights of pleasantries. Sad. But far better than last time, and so far better than anticipated. Made a nice dinner, we ate together. Was all very decent. Why in times past could it not be so? So simple and pleasant. The divorce is a known. And he brought it up. It was choked out but not with anger or accusations nor blame. None of that. Last time? Within first 3 hours the accusations were flying at me. This time? Not even "hello". Really. Not a single question that doesn't pertain to himself. Didn't have to be like this and he knows it. I know it. Neither is building a bridge. No hoovers. Detente. Surreal.

Just remain on guard because a calm PD is a very scary and dangerous one imo.

Yes, I know. He's not drinking though. He is calmish, but shaking. Not well. Will be doing lots of testing. He has been unwell for a while. Worried about him. Jet lag is brutal on him as well. It's not an easy life his work.

*sigh*
I spoke too soon...under 72 hours, back to usual.
I am accused of having a "second life", a "secret life" and and and....it's all my fault.

I hope he's not going into DT's , an alcoholic without alcohol is a very sick person and can die. And we knew the calm couldn't last... Please just be careful and kick his ass if he gets stupid lol

So far...no problem. Pleasant with the odd side swipes. But otherwise? Really nice. More or less. No ass kicking will be coming from me. Done with that.
How are you doing?

I've been cranky for a few days, I think I need my meds adjusted, other than that I'm just blah.

((((ER)))))
Hope what ever is driving the crank factor can be resolved. Is it the seasonal change or meds do you think?

It's a combo of things, depression, season, situation and health. It will all sort itself out I just have to keep marching forward.

When you change or adjust meds, there's an adjustment period.

What meds you two on? Mood stabilizers? I know not all that much about them other than what I read up on when my T suggested Xanax and Valium at a couple points. Which after reading about it, NO.

btw, there is a anti-depressant called Cellaxa or Effexor that I have heard is the WORST withdrawal ever. Worse than oxy, worse than dope and cigarettes. Years ago I almost went on them until I googled it. Wow, really bad. Be careful.

<--- Won't be touching anything mind/ mood altering. Other than the odd glass of vino.
Why were you on them CG? Still on them?

No I never took the meds, I had gotten free samples. I took anti-depressants for a few years on and off about 5-10 years ago, and they helped for a little, but then I went off them when they stopped working and felt so much better. Meds are a personal choice, but bottom line for me is they didn't work.
I found things that helped for short-term and long term, one of the solutions being taking my then 5 speed car and driving the f_ck out of it. Driving is one thing I do really well. We're talking hitting the open road and going through 1st-5th in a matter of half a minute and hitting sharp turns.
Driving like that does a few things (needs to be stick so you are really engaged): Takes your mind off things because of 100% focus on driving. Going from 1-5 and hitting 110mph kicks your adrenaline into overdrive with quick spikes. Endorphines get raised. Taking sharp turns and shifting from 5th into 3/2nd also gets it going.
I don't have a stick shift anymore, but I don't get too down for too long.
btw, one time I got pulled over doing 80 something and I told the cop the truth about needing to drive fast, and he let me off, hence I think there is something to it.
