Throwing this out there....
Is it my imagination or is there something rather sick and twisted going on with the Non support boards living with a PD?
Shrink4men, despite my negative experience is still an excellent source of information. BPDfamily has not much that's is particularly helpful for many cases other than the obvious and supposes that all situations are the same. For men in physically and sexually abusive situations the support is a negligible if that.
BPDfamily is knocking out entire posts within 5 seconds if it' includes a link to anything that is not PD friendly and smarmy and the Ugly Truth. Some posters even apologize for their anger there. That is so wrong.
"The Site" same thing. All outside links to other sources including research is getting the boot.
That observation is rather frightening.
Maybe it is me that is being hypersensitive, but I doubt it.
Silly question: Are you really that comfy with having your words, thoughts and feelings being pre formatted for you?
With regards to topics and information available, in my opinion, it's not a question of right/ wrong, which wanders into the realm of the Black/ White PD of absolutes. But rather one of having the information available, open to discussing it and coming up with a working conclusion based on your own experiences as well as those shared by others. Cherry picking through the research to support one's Point Of View is not helping anyone. It's a covert form of manipulation.
